Function Pages for Wikifunctions

Wikifunctions (Wikimedia’s first platform to launch in a decade) democratizes access to writing little bits of code that will then plug into Abstract Wikipedia — a massive open source database that stores all quantitative data across all Wikis. The ‘Function Page’ is the cornerstone UI for Wikifunctions; it’s how simple and complex functions are displayed and collaboratively edited on the platform. Since launching in September 2023 it has been used by thousands of technical and non-technical open source contributors.

ML-powered content management system for journalists to write trustworthy news, at scale

In 2017 trust in the news was at an all time low. Knowhere’s mission was to regain public trust by providing factual, unbiased journalism. We used machine learning tools in the newsroom to allow a small team of journalists to write high-quality articles at scale. I designed our main offering, an AI-powered content management system (CMS) for a small newsroom to collaboratively create, edit, and publish trustworthy articles at scale. Using the CMS I designed, our newsroom published 16,000 articles in three years and grew our audience to 500,000 readers.

Visual design for
Knowhere's Daily Newsletter

Our strategy was to reach readers through their inbox. We published a daily email newsletter containing the top news of the day. We reached 500,000 readers across America. I created the visual language for our brand and visually captured our values of trustworthy, verifiable, and premium news.
